I have always worked in customer service and get real job satisfaction from helping people.

I hope they would say I am friendly and helpful.
What is your proudest achievement?
I love the outdoors and have completed the West Highland Way four times.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Usually the last place I visited, which at the moment is Tenerife.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy yoga and I am studying English Literature with the Open University, so lots of reading.

After a horrible accident where I snapped my elbow and tendons in my foot I was so proud to get myself back to fitness and be able to showjump again.

Santa Ponsa!

I love the gym and horse riding.

Helping my two lovely children grow into fine adults.

What is your proudest achievement?
I was very proud to be promoted to Client Manager, working closely with one of our largest clients to deliver a significant piece of work that has helped transform how they operate.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
The Amalfi Coast. A very beautiful place with amazing food.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like spending time with friends and family, having a laugh, and always having some sort of plans to go out.

Karen Finnen

What do you enjoy most about working for Onwards Answering?
I love the variety of my job. No day is the same and every single call offers a different challenge. I have been here for over 3 years and I am still learning new things every single day. I also enjoy the building the relationship with my team and supporting them with any queries that they have and helping them develop their own skills so that they can excel in their job. We have an amazing team here at Onwards and I love watching them all grow and become comfortable and grow in their job and becoming outstanding call handlers.
What skills do you have that allow you to excel in your role?
I can easily adapt to my surroundings and what each day in the job brings. I can use my initiative well and usually perform well under pressure. I enjoy building good relationships with people which and pride myself in being approachable which I would like to think I am with colleagues, clients and callers.
How would your colleagues and clients describe you?
I would like to hope that they see me as approachable, friendly and a person who genuinely has everyone’s best interests at heart.
What is your proudest achievement?
Becoming a team lead at Onwards was pretty massive for me. I became a mum at a young age and had a number of part time jobs to make ends meet basically doing whatever I had to do to get by. This job has allowed me to grow within myself professional and start to carve out a career for myself and my family.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Thailand looks amazing but I am scared of flying and tsunami’s so we will see.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like to keep busy (NOT AT THE GYM.) I enjoy arranging days or nights out with both my family and my friends and spending time all together so I can annoy them all at once.

Joanne Tait

What do you enjoy most about working for Onwards Answering?
While working for Onwards Answering, I have learnt that I enjoy being the first initial interaction with all our clients. I enjoy customer service and I am always eager to resolve a query or to direct clients to the right department while trying to remain human and personable.
What skills do you have that allow you to excel in your role?
My previous experience within customer service both office based and retail based allow me to showcase an understanding when dealing with uncomfortable conversations.
Working within different office settings also allows me to navigate the systems we use here at Onwards Answering more easily.
How would your colleagues and clients describe you?
I think my colleagues and clients would describe me as personable, friendly and bubbly (if they don’t, they’re wrong). I like to think I get on with most people and always try to go out my way for everyone to feel involved and for them to feel included. I’m someone that wears my heart on my sleeve.
What is your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement without a doubt would have to be my daughter after suffering the loss of my own Mum. My Daughter has just been the greatest gift.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite holiday destination has got to be South Africa. I moved to Pretoria a few years ago and lived there for just over a year but a close second would have to be Mozambique where I visited while living in South Africa.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I really cherish the time I spend with my family, particularly my daughter and nephew. Our family usually have days out most weekends to keep my 20-month-old occupied.
I also have a toy poodle named Asher who also needs exerting on the weekends to burn off energy.
